MTV’s True Life

July 30th, 2008

If you can’t find us in our print shop, you might find us in the studio. Every now and then, our tracks get picked up by TV.

On that note, one of our hip-hop instrumentals recently got placed in an episode of MTV’s True Life. The episode first aired July 20th, 2008.

Where The Wild Things Are

July 29th, 2008

Once a month, the Food Chain Collective hosts a crazy party at Asylum in Adams Morgan, Washington DC.

It’s next Thursday, so this is a friendly reminder to all wild things. Fresh Like Produce will be in the house, slinging some fresh new gear for guys and gals…along with the food chain t-shirts of course. Live music, dancing, freestyle sessions, on plenty of booze is the norm.

The Fresh2Death Mixtape, Vol. 1

July 18th, 2008

Back in April when we had the spring launch party, we released volume one of our Fresh2Death Mixtape.

The album features a bunch of artists in the Washington DC underground hip-hop and indie rock circles. The music scene in DC is definitely alive and kicking.

Anyway, we only pressed up 100 copies of volume one. And now we are all out. We gave a free copy to everyone who bought a shirt at all of our events so far this summer. We may or may not press up another 100 copies, and it should be available for download in the near future. More importantly, Fresh2Death Volume 2 is in the works!

Some of the artists on Volume 1 include: Flex Mathews, Middle Distance Runner, Rosetta Stoned, Educated Consumers, and mathpanda.
